Anonymous: How do you imagine your "perfect" couple? or what are you looking up in a guy? i mean everybody is looking up for something in one person thats going to takeyou to say he/she is the guy/girl you want to spend all your life..

It’s a fairly difficult question.
Perfect couple, well. I just want to be with someone that makes me happy, someone who won’t judge me, someone who thinks the same about certain issues as me would be a bonus but then again a differing opinion could be fine as we could both educate each other. Someone who will happily deal with the fact I can be pretty cold at times and that it can take me a while to really really care about someone and let them in.
Someone who will teach me a lot of new things, take me to new places, make me feel like I’m the most important person in the world because I’d do everything possible to make them feel that way too.
If we can support each other and stand by each other through everything and if we can do stupid shit together and laugh about dumb things and tell jokes and be 100% comfortable around each other and really be each others best friend I’d be happy and it would be perfect. I just want someone who is genuine and who really cares about me not just the things I’m interested in. No one I’ve been with has really really made me feel like they care.

Anonymous: Ahhh, I see. Well, here's a couple of things for you to consider. Consider the way metal is often portrayed in society vs. what you know personally. I'm sure you'd agree that the stereotype, while it may a tiny bit of truth and people reenforce negative stereotypes, it's not the way it's portrayed in the society, the media in particular. Another thing to consider is that a survey a few years ago concluded Australia has the highest ecstasy use per capita. Yet we function fairly well as a society.

Yeah no I get that completely. I just don’t like the idea of putting strange chemicals into my body or having people I care for do it either.

Are you able to tell me exactly what ecstasy does to the body? I’m actually really curious now.

Anonymous: Ecstasy? Really? Why do you rate that up there with meth and heroin? Is that because ecstasy is often a combination of MDMA and amphetamines? If so, what if it was just straight MDMA? MDMA, in case you're unaware, is the part of pills that gives users that sense of euphoria and "lovey dovey" sensation for those around them.

Honestly I guess it’s just because of the way ecstasy is portrayed in media/film haha. It seems a bit silly of me but yeah, I’ve just always seen it as being one of those terrible drugs. I’d personally never touch it but I suppose being more educated on the drug might ease my mind a bit if a partner was taking it. 
I can’t say I’ve looked too much into MDMA, what exactly does that do to the body itself? How harmful can it be?

Anonymous: Have you ever dated someone who is neither vegan nor straight edge and was it a problem? If not, would you? Also, where would you draw the line at what you felt was acceptable from a partner? At drinking? Or would occasional drug use be fine if it did not involve you, nor were you pressured into participating? If so, where would you draw the line with what drugs would be okay to which wouldn't?

I have dated people that weren’t vegan but were edge. I would date someone that was neither of those things as long as they were open and accepting of the vegan lifestyle.

I haven’t dated many people.
My most recent ex was very far from being a vegan and would often insult the vegan lifestyle, that bothered me. I didn’t care that they ate animal products/bi-products but they tried to make me feel awful about being a vegan and that’s not something I want in any partner. Most of the people I have been involved with have lived a straight edge lifestyle whether they’ve claimed it or not. 90% of my friends are so far from being edge it isn’t funny haha. My best friend smokes weed/cigarettes and takes acid/shrooms and drinks a lot but it doesn’t bother me one bit. He’s still the same dude I played soccer with when I was 11 haha.

I guess it is a bit different when you’re romantically involved with someone though. I wouldn’t really want a partner that would blow me off for weed like some people have done in the past. 
As long as they’re not doing heroin/cocaine/meth or ecstasy I think we should be alright haha. Although if I fall for someone that does do any of those drugs I’ll do my best to get them off them because no one needs that shit in their system.
